High resolution Aerial Panoramic Pictures I specialize in a very unique kind of aerial photography that takes a dynamic step outside of the traditional photographic frame. Here I am presenting a wide panoramic view that shows everything as far as the eye can see. By taking many photographs and then piecing them together like that of an intricate puzzle, I mantain an intimate connection thoughout the process. These result is a seemingly surreal, yet intensively real, aerial view through the dizzy sensation as we approach earth from the sky. Each photograph is a composite creation, that more than a snapshot, allows for a visual exploration of the terrain and sprouting life. At aproximately 300 megapixels, the eyes have an intense perspective with many details to be discovered. |
I've been creating composite aerial photos since 2006, when a friend of mine showed me that by stitching many photos together it is possible to create high resolution images. Instead of shooting with a wide angle lens, I create composites from telephoto pictures which together form a wide angle view. I like to come in close to land formations for exaggerated wide angle views that pull the foreground forward to create a 3D effect. These days 3D style images are frequently used, and can be encountered everywhere from online poker to movie screens. However, as I'm sure you'll agree, the effect which this has when used in conjunction with aerial photography is simply breath-taking. I don't only capture photographs of what is in front of me, but more importantly the land below me. When stitched together, the final image retains a curve as if the land lays on a cylinder and rolls forward. |
