La Jolla Children's Pool Aerial Panoramic Photo
The Children's Pool is one of La Jolla's most important Landmarks. Local philanthropist Ellen Browning Scripps built the wall barrier to create a beach for children to swim keeping them safe from the rough ocean waves. Today the Children's Pool is home to the local seal and sea lion population, making this beach an ongoing sea mammal show and a popular attraction for tourists visiting La Jolla. In this photo you can see a group of seals laying on the beach. This was a very special day in that it depicts an extreme low tide revealing a rocky terrain usually submerged underwater. It took 50 photos stitched together to create this aerial view.

The La Jolla Children's Pool Aerial Photo is an astonishingly intricate view. Spanning almost 180 degrees showing the entire stretch of Coast Boulevard from Scripps Park to Coast Boulevard Park, this 300 megapixel photo is 29,864 pixels wide by 11,455 pixels high. It can print 8 feet long and 3 feet tall at a full 300DPI. You can view the picture in full resolution here.
