Home >> Wide Angle Panoramic Photography

The wide angle panoramic format is my favorite way of presenting pictures. For me it is important to show more than what can actually be seen in a typical photo. For this reason I like to have an ample high resolution view that draws you in to the picture and compels you to step closer and examine everything in the scene. A wider view can tell many small stories by sharing very individual experiences in different parts of the picture. This is especially true in pictures with large crowds in which you can look into everyone's expressions and interactions. My intention is to present a view that is an experience in itself which places you just outside as an observer into a world with an ample view.

Taganga (Puerto de Pescadores), Magdalena Colombia 2009. - This is one of my favorite places in Colombia. It's a special jewel in a place that is seldom traveled and off the beaten path. Colombia is one of the countries that most people skip as they travel through the continent. Nevertheless, Taganga and the Santa Marta region draws a significant amount of backpackers and artisans from all over the world and from the interior of Colombia making this a very diverse little town. One of the very special things is the fishing port and bay in Taganga. Many places like these are disappearing around the world. Last time I was in Taganga I saw the beginning stages in the construction of a more modern port. And the view that I represent here will no longer be the same as this small town moves into a modernity.

Nectar Cancun After Hours Party- 2005 - When I lived in Mexico I had a small gig at this after hours party taking pictures for the Nectar Club. It's an after hours bar with good electronic music and some of the best DJ's in the world playing while I was there. I took advantage of being granted the freedom to shoot anything I wanted and so I created several high resolution panoramic pictures. This one here is made up of about 12 photos stitched together. There is a lot to see in this picture. If you take a closer look you can see Pimp Master Flex at the table with the three girls or go closer and check out the girl in the yellow dress in the middle of the scene. I love watching people dance as they offer their bodies in sacrifice to the DJ God.
